Lauren Onderko Licensed Clinical Social Worker Inc, doing business as Seeking Solutions Therapy, owns and manages this website. The information provided on this website if not licensed or professional advice. It is only for informational and educational purposes. Please contact your primary care provider to discuss health concerns, diagnoses, or treatments. In a medical emergency, call 911.

The content on this website is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Licensure and Where We Can Provide Services

I am licensed to provide services to clients who are physically located in California or Washington at the time of each session, including telehealth sessions. If you are traveling or relocating, please let us know in advance so we can discuss your options.

Some services may be provided by Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASWs) who are registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and are working under the clinical supervision of a licensed clinician. Associates will always disclose their registration status and supervisor's name before beginning services.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy matters to us. Please keep in mind that email, text messages, and website contact forms are not fully secure. When you first reach out, we ask that you share only your name, contact information, and a brief reason for reaching out, and that you save personal or clinical details for your consultation.

Once you become a client, your health information is protected under federal law (HIPAA) and California law. You will receive our full Notice of Privacy Practices during intake, and you may request a copy at any time by contacting us.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, if you are not using insurance or are paying out of pocket, you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your care will cost. You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Fees and Insurance
Seeking Solutions Therapy is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. Upon request, we can provide a superbill you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We cannot guarantee reimbursement, and we encourage you to check your out-of-network benefits with your insurer.

Services for Minors

We work with teens and young adults. For clients under 18, parent or guardian consent is generally required, except where California law allows minors to consent to their own mental health care. We'll talk through consent, confidentiality, and what information may be shared with parents or guardians at the start of treatment.

Notice to Consumers (California)

The Board of Behavioral Sciences receives and responds to complaints regarding services provided within the scope of practice of licensed clinical social workers and associate clinical social workers. You may contact the Board online at www.bbs.ca.gov, or by calling (916) 574-7830.

[Washington clients: The Washington State Department of Health handles complaints about licensed social workers. Visit doh.wa.gov or call (360) 236-4700.]

Nondiscrimination

Seeking Solutions Therapy welcomes and affirms people of all races, ethnicities, religions, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, ages, and backgrounds. We do not discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic.
